We went back to the states for a wedding and a house sit on the Mississippi in a little town called Wabasha. It's one of our favorite areas of Minnesota, aside from the north shore. It was nice to be in nature in the middle of silence.

If you ever get the chance to explore the Great River Road, do it! It's a national scenic byway, and the views overlooking the Mississippi River rock. Near Fountain City is Elmer's Auto & Toy Museum. This guy has an insane collection of the coolest dolls, toys, pedal cars, vehicles, and so much more. And the views from his yard = breathtaking. #MississippiRiver #Museums

"This unit has supreme corner view to enjoy the river and the eagles. Location is along the river road walk path DQ is next door for a late night treat. Super clean, open air place with all the amenities you need. The deck is glorious for relaxing, reading and as a photographer I captured many eagle pics! We got exactly what we expected from the photos and more. Will be back again."

"The loft was decorated perfectly, was super roomy with high ceilings and historic charm, and had everything we needed and so many extras (like the steam shower that wasn't mentioned in the description!). "The host was great. Very clear instructions and quick replies when I had questions. The condo itself is super clean and nicely decorated. The location is also great. It's right in the heart of downtown and is walkable to multiple shops and restaurants. I would definitely recommend this place. "

"It needed attention-counters were not clean and had crumbs of food on them-tablecloth was dirty-bathroom was not wiped-stains on furniture etc. On the plus side, the beds were great!There were no trash/recycle bins outside. We didn’t know what to do with dirty towels!?Also there were some tripping hazards that should have been marked. "
