“The location of this little motel is perfect if you're taking the ferry to Block Island the next day. It's just two miles from the ferry port. We would have enjoyed staying here even if we were not going to Block Island, though—it's sparkling clean with a ton of little touches that turn a nice motel into a great one. There are towel bars and hooks in all the right places, and even an electrical outlet at the top of the refrigerator for plugging in an electric cooler or whatever else you need to……

“The room was clean. The hotel is dated. It needs updating. The showerhead was taped to the tile. The towel bar broke off after placing a towel on it. The mirrors were starting to peel. And the heat did not work that well at night time. The linens on the bed are old. We found no problem with cleanliness, but everything is quite old. The blinds on the windows did not keep out the very bright lights on the front walkway. The room was not dark at night time. On the good side the location is an easy……

“We look for reasonable, clean places to rest and clean up on our travels across country. Most often for one night at a time. This place fit our bill. Nothing fancy but slept well. The man that checked us in was friendly and nice. The flower beds and roses seemed tenderly cared for. After our experience the following night, at the OYO in Wilkes-Barre, PA, this place was fantastic.”
