"The beds were not comfortable you could feel the springs. The room with the double bed had something stuck to the sheets like they were not clean. The extra blankets and sheets were just thrown in the closet. There were no instructions on the oven to know the temperature your cooking at. They had no extra towels. Only 1 kitchen and 1 hand towel for a week stay. No papertowels and only 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom."

"Fantastic location with lovely views of the East Lothian countryside. Lovely time just sitting, watching the Highland Cows. Accommodation is spotless with everything you need. Owner is so helpful. Highly recommend if you want to get away from it all and just slow down for a few days."

"We stayed two nights with another 4 members of my family. Hotel had recently changed hands. It was a lovely quiet country inn in a small village with plenty of parking. Good pulic room for sitting with family and generally the hotel was very individual. Room had everything we needed including a bath with good hanging space.The manager was very hands on and a pleasant man. The lady doing the breakfast couldn't have done more and everything was freshly cooked and brought to the table. Excellent choice of food for breakfast. We didn't eat in the evening as we were visiting family but menu had a good selection. Had a problem with hot water in bath and sink to which the Manager was very attentive in trying to sort. Had a village shop but not much else but that was what we wanted. Lovely overall stay and definitely would return "

"Property was in good order and pet friendly. We only used it as a base to explore the area so didnt cook in too much. Because of mobility issues it was a wee bit far away from the main area so we had to always use the car. Beach is across the road, so again we had to use the car to access beach. But had lovely weather while we were there so that was a bonus. Many thanks"

"Harriet is a wonderful host, helping me with the smallest of enquiries before our group of 12 people arrived.All the beds and rooms where comfortable and the sitting room was a delight to keep the woodburner company in the evenings with a plentiful wood supply.The sun shone for our stay and we saw hares on the front lawn. The wellingtonia trees where magnificent to see.We hope to be back."
