“Thanks to the host and their lodge, we had a wonderful time! We had the chance to observe the cows, we really enjoyed it. “A beautiful, historic castle outside Edinburgh. Room was very nice--bed comfortable, bathroom clean and roomy enough. Restaurant in the basement is a "must do." Steaks are cooked over a wood fire. Food was superb. Only negative was that I learned if you don't book directly with Melville Castle then breakfast is not included. I used a Expedia to book, so no breakfast included, which didn't seem right given the room prices. Overall a great experience. My wife and I would like to return sometime.”
