"It was my first time going on vacation let alone anywhere and I can not believe how amazing this hotel made my experience. I felt safe and content with staff and the area. There was lots to walk close by or just a quick taxi or local bus away. Even the option to use rental scooters or their version of uber. Staff was friendly and helpful. Property activities staff participated and made it fun. I can’t wait to come back. "

"We loved our second stay in a "corner/tower" room (room #652 this time). The Cancun Point location of Riu Palace Las Americas allows for safer swimming, away from the dangerous riptides that can form along the "straight-line" beachfront along much of the coastline. Staff were wonderful, with special to Berenice in Reception, Miguel in lobby (luggage management), Marlene in Don Romero beachfront-buffet dining area, and the young lady who operates the Capuchino bar in the early mornings (we are sorry to have forgotten her name, but she is also a treasure). However, as guests who are 60 years of age, we do have a few points of constructive criticism: 1) We do not drink much alcohol, but when we do order a cocktail, we are willing and able to pay more for a premium option - but this option doesn't exist. 2) The beach lounge chairs are not comfortable for older bodies like ours. Again, we would like to have a premium option, - ie, to be able to rent a high-quality CUSHION for our lounge chairs. 3) Finally, once the entertainment begins at 10AM, it is difficult to find a quiet place to read on the beachfront. Also, the music volume is quite loud at night, making it difficult for those of us who go to sleep around 9:30-10PM - even in our 6th floor room #652. We actually LOVE the Riu Palace Las Americas, but as we get older, we may decide not to return only because of these few "pain points." We want to thank your incredible staff for our amazing memories!"

"We loved stay at RIU caribe. Main reason we stayed here because all the RIU parties are hosted in this location. Property itself is amazing. Amazing Ocean view from room and pools. Restaurant variety is bit limited. Mostly we had buffet at Coral restaurant. Everyone like Indian food, so if that option can be added that will make food experience perfect for vegetarians and non-vegetarians both."

"The service and staff are amazing!! Misael is our favorite person on the beach! He never lets our drinks run out!! Sandra over at the spa gives amazing massages! Pastor over at the restaurants was always so attentive making us delicious food!! Made me my favorite drink, agua de Chaya . They truly make us feel like family. We’ve been here like 6 times and will continue returning!"
