“Die Unterkunft liegt wunderbar im Dschungel und ist somit auch ein sehr ruhiger und erholsamer Ort. Wir haben dort sehr lecker zu Abend gegessen und es gibt auch eine größere Auswahl zum Frühstück, welches ebenfalls sehr lecker war. Unser Zimmer war ok, es hätte ein wenig sauberer sein können. Die Kinder hatten viel Spaß im Pool und haben sich für die Tiere vor Ort begeistert. Wir waren nur eine Nacht dort, aber vollkommen ausreichend für eine Durchreise.”

“We stayed here with two families with 4 kids under 10 for two nights.They had so much for them to do. A pool, bounce houses, a trampoline, electric cars, a campfire, and they even got to play with the resident bunny, ducks, and chickens. The staff was also extremely kind and helpful making the kids food to order throughout the day and always finding things to entertain them. We didn't have our own car, but they happily drove us to local cenotes and even helped pick up a friend who needed a ride……

“The road to the resort was not paved at all (dirt road with tons of potholes, an SUV or bigger vehicle is a must), it was remote, no cell reception (download an offline map), surrounded by jungle. We had fun driving through. The property was nice, peaceful and surrounded by nature. There is no cell reception but there is a wifi. The room that we stayed in was the comfort room. It was clean and comfortable. There was a musty smell at first but we aired the room out and it was fine after. I……

“The activities group is great and a lot of fun at the main pool. The golden pool has an amazing staff like Miguel. The rooms are clean, all staff is friendly and helpful! Selection of restaurants is great! The elevator in our building #1 didn’t work 98% of the time so walking to the third floor wasn’t fun multiple times a day. ”

“Really clean facility. Food was mediocre actually. The breakfast buffet is my favorite. Lots of options. But the dinner restaurants are the same old same old for all inclusive resorts. For a 5 star resort I expected the food to be better.”

“From start to finish we were underwhelmed. Ineffective pickup at airport that they use a third party for. Old property that has a sad aesthetic and no vibe happening. Everything is go get in line at this deal, for that another desk— like being on a cruise. Food was fine, drinks were made from cheap concentrate. Told staff how disappointed we were and got no response. Checked out early. No refund. Will not be going back.”

“We had a wonderful short stay at the Belmond Maroma to celebrate our engagement. The staff and their service were top notch. In particular, Emanuel took great care of us. The spa was wonderful for both treatments and some time in the hot/cold plunges, steam and sauna. “Around 30-40 min drive from the airport. Grounds are very nice. Lobby is nicely laid out, with bar and coffee shop and tour desks. I really enjoyed the buffet and a la carte dining options. 2 pools, sort of small. Party pool has the pool bar which was always crazy busy which was unfortunate because we love to be in the pool and swim up for a drink but there was never any room so always had to get out.
