"Had an amazing stay at Rock Reef. the staff was super friendly and helpful. They did a great job keeping up the grounds. the room was great very clean and looked like it had just been updated. Kayaks were a fun option at the beach. kids snorkeled finding hermit crabs fish and starfish. saw dolphins and manatees swim by multiple times. pool was very clean . coffee shop and ballyhoos restaurant across the street both were great. would definitely stay here again."

"The hotel doesn't look like much from the street, but we were pleasantly surprised by the pool area, which had a tiki bar, 2 pools, and a hot tub. There's a Dunkin next door which was great for coffee & a quick breakfast in the morning. Typically breakfast is included in your stay at other Holiday Inns, but it's not included at this one since it's considered a "resort". The room was a bit dated, but clean. "

"This place was far below expectations! Dozens of unsupervised children running around at all hours of the night screaming, party music every night until 2:30am, people banging on the room door all night for fun, shower didn’t drain and left you in 4” of gross water in just a few minutes, room was outdated, had to unplug the tv because it turned itself off and on all night long (never worked properly), no fan in the room or bathroom, and worst of all… we watched a woman proposition a couple in the parking lot for a threesome which later turned out to be the hotel’s cleaning lady. We would have stayed somewhere else but were stuck in the area for a wedding and had nowhere else available. Would not recommend!! "

"Older but very clean! Good location. Several restaurants you can walk to. The lady who checked us in was so nice, friendly and fun! (The man there the next 2 times we were in the lobby…., not so much.) Bed was comfortable. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Yogurt, packaged pastries, bottled juice, tea and hot coffee for breakfast which was perfect for us. WiFi was decent. Free parking. Good AC. Stayed for 2 nights. Would stay again. "

"Beautiful property and the beach is nice, calm, and quiet. The made to order breakfasts every morning were absolutely amazing and delicious! My only complaint was that we explored Islamorada and did adventures during the day off the property. When we came back after dinnertime, we wanted to use some of the amenities such as fishing or having a drink from the bar and everything closed early (4:00-7:00 it was closed by). Would've been nice to have those things open till dark. "
