"Great place with a great view and parking on site. Staff was lovely and location was great. Could walk to town in 15-20 minutes. Would stay there again."

"This hotel is just beautiful and located just steps away from the ferry dock. It is so relaxing and the staff is incredibly welcoming. Breakfast on the balcony overlooking Lake Como is worth it alone. It’s an absolute gem."

Gorgeous hotel with amazing views of the city. Although it is a little outside the city, you can walk (about 30-45 minutes) or the hotel provides transportation at certain times of the day.

Our best stay of our entire trip! The place was so clean and nice looking! Oscar was so helpful and accommodating to us! A cute stay in a beautiful smaller area. Great location if you want a more quiet stay! Would 100% recommend staying here.

The view from our room was beautiful. We enjoyed our stay (2 nights). There's a nice passage by the lake. Breakfast was very good, especially cappuccino! The staff was helpful at the desk. There's a little market about 500 meters away, which was convenient. The train station is 100 meters but there is no person at the office. The train comes every hour or every two hours. We took a train to Varenna Esino and walked to the Villa Monastero/Botanical Garden. It was very nice.

This is one of the most spectacular places I’ve ever stayed. The room was very large with a beautiful patio overlooking Lake Como. The breakfast was large and amazing serving foods from their own private gardens. Mary and her staff are outstanding and I cannot recommend this hotel enough! Don’t miss a chance to stay here! The area to eat breakfast is also a large porch overlooking the lake. It’s about a 15 minute walk into town. The peacefulness and seclusion of this spot was a nice break from...

We very much enjoyed our stay. Rita takes very good care of you like she is your own Italian Nana. The food at the restaurant is home made by her and delicious. The rooms are nice and our view was great. It is a bit of a walk up the hill from Varenna, but nothing a cold beer won't make you forget. Overall highly recommended.

The Agriturismo Al Marnich is one of the few remaining authentic, family-run agriturismo, serving locally grown, homemade food both at breakfast and dinner. I travel quite a bit around the world and every year I find there are fewer and fewer authentic, family-run hotels/restaurants. Unfortunately, many close and are replaced by hotel chains that all look exactly the same, more or less like an airport terminal. So it is truly refreshing and gives me hope when every once in a while I am still...

This place is amazing! The perfect place to sleep in the mountains. Trust your good GPS and you’ll find it, really worth it. We were welcomed and guided by Agostino. It was a pleasure to eat a great breakfast with all local, farm-grown products! Such a nice experience for my kids that enjoyed this place w/o TV. Fam. rooms are comfortable, cute, clean on top of that you have WiFi. I definitely recommend this place so much!

Although I booked a partial lake view and did not receive that, everything was cool! I was told when I sent a message that it was not guaranteed (which I don’t get it!) but besides that, the hotel check-in was easy, staff was friendly & room was clean (had a few blemish $ however, did not effect me! Also, note; the shower is very small so keep in mind if on the heavy side! It’s just limited space to move around! Not sure how the other showers are but I had room #4 on 1st floor! Anywho, was very...

This has been characterized as a highway hotel and it may so but it's definitely much more than that. Rooms are ample and very comfortable, and clean. Hotel staff is always ready to help. Located next to a highway it allows for easy access to Como, Lecco, Milan or any other place in Lombardy. You do need a car though, but there's a train station a 20-minute walk away. The hotel offers breakfast but there's a charming deli next door with warm croissants which we visited everyday. There's also an...

The best area to stay in Ortanella is the historic village center, particularly around the Piazza del Borgo, which offers a blend of convenience and authentic local character.
This central area is the heart of Ortanella, characterized by its narrow cobblestone streets, traditional stone buildings, and a relaxed pace. The Piazza del Borgo serves as a focal point, often hosting local markets and community gatherings. It's an excellent base for couples looking for a romantic and tranquil escape.
For those seeking a more secluded and private experience, the hillside villas just outside the village center offer stunning views of the surrounding Lombardy countryside.
