"We had a very good time renting Maureen’s home. Most comfortable, particularly sitting out on either of the two decks. And it was easy to meet up with our grandkids who we’re staying in Saltaire. Comfortable ride to all the near communities."

"We enjoyed our stay. It was my birthday weekend and I enjoyed the hot tub nightly and the pool. The outside living space both upstairs and downstairs was AMAZING. We used the fire pit as well and that was relaxing. We stayed 6 days and was at either Jones Beach, Robert Moses or Fire Island everyday. Mostly to watch the sunsets……so beautiful. We toured the Fire Island Museum and hiked to the top of the Fire Island Lighthouse (definitely recommend). Easy, Beautiful boardwalk from parking lot 5 of Robert Moses State Park to lighthouse. Then we continued walking to Kismet (about a mile from Lighthouse or 1 3/4 miles from parking lot 5) to a great restaurant called Dive. I highly recommend. It was on the Bay side and had a gorgeous view of the sunset. Food and servers were excellent. We then walked back on the beach (ocean side) to lot 5. The house itself is loaded with all the things you need to be comfortable including a huge aquarium which we enjoyed watching. Towels and bed linens were provided. There is a Keurig coffee maker but we chose to walk down to Schwartz’s Bagels (just 3/4 mile down the road) for coffee and bagel breakfast sandwiches (we highly recommend going there). Schwartz’s also has great parking if you choose to drive. The service was super fast and the bagel sandwiches hard to beat. The choices were huge and meet most taste buds! Since it was my birthday weekend, my daughters had bought me a huge bouquet of flowers, and the house had a great big vase to hold them so they sat on the table just making it feel like home. This was definitely a home away from home. The owner was attentive to our needs and answered us very quickly and made things right immediately. We highly recommend this house if you are looking for relaxation and close to beaches. There are multiple grocery stores in the area as well including Stop and Shop and Aldi. This home won’t disappoint."

"I stayed with my family, which includes 2 small children. The house was perfect for us. There are enough rooms to accommodate multiple families comfortably. The back deck was very large and the hot tub was a great feature. At night the deck lights made rainbow colors, the kids loved this feature! This listing did not have a lot of reviews when we booked, so I wasn't sure about a few things, but was happy that we found this listing last minute. Some info for future guests: -About a 7 minute walk from the ferry. Shorter walk if you are going from the house to the start of the town (opposite side of ferry). -Same amount of walking to get to the beach. The house is on the bay side, there is one swimming option for the bay side, it is off the deck closer to town with a lifeguard present. -There are most things that are needed in the kitchen. Random spices, coffee filters, tin foil, pots/pans, reg coffee pot and Keurig machine. There are only ice trays, no ice maker, so plan accordingly. -It was mentioned, but the room with the blue couch is on the other side of the deck, so kind of detached from the house. We only used it for the bathroom when in the hot tub. -Plenty of towels! Also, extra blankets, and pillows if you need. -All AC units worked well. -WIFI worked great in the house. -Small soap, shampoo, and conditioner provided. A few suggestions that I have: -New pans for the kitchen. They are very scratched up and the Teflon is scratching off. This may not bother some, just something I noticed. -There are about 4 beach chairs. We only used 2 of them, so I'm not sure of the condition of all of them. But they did seem like they were on their last leg, and some, missing the back pack straps to carry with more ease. -There were NO beach umbrellas. I specifically asked about this (because it was not listed on the listing), and was told there was one. -Neither umbrella on the deck works properly. The large navy one did not open, and seemed to be missing a major piece. The tan one was on such a wobbly stand, that it was a danger to have open. It is hard to enjoy the beautiful deck, when it is very sunny and hot. -The couch with the blue cushions was very nice, but can use some upgraded cushions. They were very flat and it was uncomfortable to sit on. -The hot tub did not get very hot. It was comfortable, but only went to about 85 degrees (this could be a pro or a con). -The WIFI router is on the opposite side of the house, which made the reception a"

"We had a wonderful time at this house just steps from the beach in Kismet. Sal met us at the dock for check-in with a wagon in tow to help us bring our luggage to the house. The house has plenty of room with a nice second story deck and a spacious side deck. Would recommend to anyone looking to be steps from the beach with great views of the ocean and lighthouse."

"My family and our dogs stayed for a week at this house; it was wonderful. The house had everything that we needed: beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, cart and more. The guest house even had an office chair, printer, chargers, clips and pens, which was perfect for taking work calls while on vacation. They also have a huge garden with the best herbs and peppers. Even the busiest days on the beach, there was only one row of people. Quiet, convenient, clean and comfortable. We want to go back next year! K"
