The food at the buffet was just looked fresh and appealing. You could tell it was sitting there all day. Our favorite restaurant was the Krystal first and the black and white. The rooms were grand and we had amazing view of the pool and beach. It would’ve been nice if the beds were true king not two doubles pushed together. The hotel is very grand feel very regal. Loved the art deco bar, the pools were awesome. The beach the beach was better than isla mujeres. Coming back for sure." Only downside is the food, although they have a lot of options it was still very hard for my littles (6&4) to find things that they would actually eat. The resort is exceptionally clean, and the entertainment staff does a great job keeping guests engaged throughout the day and evening. The pool is large with plenty of loungers available, so finding a spot was never an issue. The buffet was a real highlight — an impressive variety of dishes, all very tasty and well prepared. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, and every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. There are, however, a few aspects that could be improved. You can only book four specialty restaurants during a seven‑night stay, but in fairness, we didn’t mind too much since the buffet food was just as good (if not better) than what we tried in the specialty options. One drawback was that the pool bar and lobby bar are essentially the same space, which makes it impossible to enjoy a quiet pre‑dinner drink. The noise from guests still in bathing suits by the pool carries right into the lobby area, making it hard to relax or enjoy the nightly entertainment — which usually features lovely live music like piano, saxophone, or violin. We also had to request a room change after being placed just two doors away from the bar. We don’t mind a bit of nighttime activity, but the noise past midnight was too much.
