“Ideal location and well stocked apartment. The host was so responsive and welcoming. When we arrived the first evening the apartment had a strong smoke smell and we alerted the host who offered to have someone come by the next day to freshen. We declined and tried to air it out by opening windows and lighting a candle but our clothes/bags smelled like smoke when we got home and everything went into the laundry immediately. The neighborhood was a quiet working-class neighborhood without a lot of traffic and the location was convenient to everything in Norwich. While it’s not handicapped accessible (as in wheelchair access), there aren’t a lot of steps so I think an older person would be able to go in and out with help. “The inside entrance had no light. The bulb was burned out. The house was not clean. When I walked in the entrance there was dirt and debris all over the floor and on the mat in front of the stairs and on the stairs. I went up the enormous amount of very narrow and steep stairs to the apartment. The stairs would be hard for any elder person to climb because they are so steep and narrow width and there are 16 of them. This should have been clearly shown and described in the ad.
