“This was the get away we needed. Beautiful home in a sand community by the ocean. Who could.ask for anything better. We loved the open space of this home. Watching the sunset from the top balcony, bbq'd, swam in the pool, relaxed in the hot tub and played a game of pool and of coarse the beach was right there. There is a small park down the road and we got to see wild horses. We had the best time. Kids were exhausted from all the fun and so were the adults. Thank you.”

“The property is spacious and was able to handle my family of 13 with ease. Short distance to the beach. Had everything we needed. A few minor problems but the management handled them immediately. Would definitely return to the Crabby Mermaid!”

“Positively beautiful view, excellent location, layout great. Bathrooms and Kitchen were clean and well maintained. Some suggestions: put a handrail at pool steps, vents,especially on wall in living room were filthy. Outside windows covered with bugs. Beach chairs and umbrella were all broken. For some reason hot water came out of both faucets in both masters. Minor changes would really enhance one’s stay but otherwise an enjoyable week.”

“This house was awesome! We’ve been coming to OBX for years and this was the best place we’ve stayed. The house was perfect with tons of amenities. The kitchen is well appointed and tons of extras. We will be coming back for sure and this house is where we will be staying!”

“This was perfect for a quick girls weekend away. Loved how close it is to the beach access, easy parking and a place to rinse off all the sand. The condo has an updated kitchen, roomy living room and good sized rooms with giant TVs. Beds were OK with the standard Vacasa sheets. There were tiny amenities in each bathroom (shampoo, conditioner, soap) as well as sponge/dish detergent/dishwasher powder and laundry powder in the kitchen. It's a pretty quiet, dog-friendly neighborhood with a grocery……

“The house had plenty of space for our group of 15 people (all ages) to comfortably spread out when needed and come together when we wanted. We had a couple of issues that the owner responded to and resolved quickly. The house was cool, the pool was warm and lots of fun! The location was quiet (only noise was from planes and jets flying overhead but that seems to be the norm for the area). Close to shopping and a very cute mini golf/water park and only about 15 minutes to either the Virginia……

“Beach house was perfect location for a quick weekend getaway. We loved being able to walk over to Croatian beach for sunrise. Host was super responsive and allowed us to check in early and check out late which was a huge help! ”

“The house was as described. It was perfect for our family get away. We had 3 generations all together and everyone enjoyed it. The Carova Beach Area is amazing. The horses and other wild life were around everyday and made the beach vacation magical. The beach driving is not for the faint of heart though, you must have a 4x4 and there are days that a few spots on the beach get very narrow and patience is a must. So worth, that tiny bit of stress though, follow the rules about tire pressure and……
