"I've been coming here for a few years. My kids and I my always have a blast and love just staying in the pool and hot tubs all day. It's a short drive to Joshua Tree, so we usually stay 2 days at the pool and 1 day hiking. It's a perfect weekend literally only 2 hour drive from LA. While the rooms could use a little upgrading, the stunning scenery and pools are amazing!"

"I stayed there over spring break, so it was fully booked. The check in took hours as they weren't done cleaning my room until well after check in time. pool closed at 8pm too early for our liking, no kids allowed at the jacuzzi, which was not stated on website and was very disappointing considering I went with kids. We went to shower after the pool and the SHOWER DID NOT WORK! The customer service started going down hill immediately. they sent a man who "fixed" it. it worked for one shower, and then broke again! I called and waited for the man to come back and he never showed. We went to dinner late and smelling like chlorine, very uncomfortable. we then came back late and tired and asked for the man to come fix the shower again but never showed again. They said he'd come 1st thing in the morning, never came. We left a complaint with Justin at the front desk since I was told that "the manager doesn't speak to customers". My brother and his family stayed there the same night and their air conditioning didn't work, same guy was sent to fix it, and complete lack of customer service, rude, and negligent. It looks nice from the pictures but the staff is rude, and the place is falling apart. Trust me and try elsewhere for a good time."

"Staff was very rude and unhelpful. We got to the property early and I knew checking in would be iffy. One of the Housekeepers was talking to the girl who was checking me in and the girl reminded me that check in was at 5 she chimed in and said we just finished cleaning a bunch of rooms. I was not able to check in. I came back a couple hours later and there was another girl at the desk who rudely asked me if I got text message saying my room was ready. I let her know I didn’t and that I just wanted to check in again. No room available what a surprise. I come back 30 minutes later and my husband walks in before me and says I know check in isn’t until 5 so we are hanging out here in the lobby. The girl and guy at the desk immediately say what’s your name we have rooms ready. I walk in as he says our last name and the girl looks as me and says oh. Yeah your room wasn’t ready when I checked. Then she plays dumb and still makes us wait for a room. Terrible service!! "

"I recently stayed at this hotel to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday, and unfortunately, the experience was far from what I had hoped for such a special occasion. One of the main reasons I chose this property was for its on-site dining and bar options, which were advertised as key amenities. I was really looking forward to a convenient, relaxing celebration without having to leave the hotel. However, upon arrival, I discovered that all of the hotel’s bars and restaurants were closed due to a private kosher event—and there had been no prior notice given to guests. This was incredibly disappointing, especially given the reason for our stay. What was supposed to be a special, stress-free birthday celebration quickly turned into a scramble to find last-minute dining options elsewhere. This lack of communication was both frustrating and inconvenient. After a long day, the last thing we wanted to do was leave the hotel to search for food and drinks. It completely disrupted the plans I had in mind for celebrating my boyfriend. While I respect the hotel’s decision to host private events and accommodate specific dietary or cultural needs, it should not come at the expense of other guests’ experiences—especially without any advance warning. A simple notification before arrival or at the time of booking would have made a huge difference. Overall, the stay felt poorly managed due to this oversight. "Francisco Magana was the rudest employ I have ever encountered at a hotel. He needs anger management and customer service training. The Westin should be ashamed for hiring this guy. The manager Nikki Higgins is an absolute gem! She knew how to troubleshoot and was empathetic. Patrick Hamilton the concierge made me feel very welcomed. Great personality and deserves a raise. "
