“Things we really liked: The location was convenient and very walkable to Japantown and downtown SJ. We appreciated the keurig coffee in the room, and bottled water tank near the shared kitchen where we could refill our water bottles. The bed was comfortable. “Suited our needs perfectly! The house is over 100 years old, so of course it’s a bit banged up, as to be expected, but it was clean and comfortable and full of cool details! Large and comfortable. Keep in mind it’s a bit loud because of the location, but the farther back you are in the house the quieter it gets, and it never bothered us. The whole process was easy and smooth and we will definitely be renting this spot again when we are in the area! Thank you! ”

“We stayed here for 2 nights. It was a wonderful stay. We were there when the temps were a bit higher and let the property owners know of a fan issue and they came in the next day and brought in new fans. Made our stay more comfortable. The only issue is the parking is a bit wonky as there was no parking in front of the main home and had to park around the corner. Other than that, it was a very comfortable and convenient place to stay.”

“It’s close to the convention center making it easy to come and go. It was easy to find with the clear directions. The gate to enter does get stuck a bit. The porch light wasn’t on but our cell phone flashlight worked just fine accessing the key. It was a tad stuffy when we walked in but there there was a box fan and ceiling fan accessible making it quite nice. The bottom bunk was very comfortable. The top bunk mattress could be better. My daughter graciously took the top. It sinks in the middle.……

“If you don’t plan on staying at the location for very long and will spend most of the trip outside, then it’s a solid place to stay.That being said-We did not eat much there and only cooked once on the last day in the location, but we were still surrounded by ants.Every bed had ants around, but the worst was the one at the end of the hallway to the left of the entrance, many ants crawled on guests who slept.There was also a cabinet in the kitchen that was not properly attached that fell off……

“We were attending a business conference over the weekend & this house was perfect. Close to the convention center & the rooms are spread out with plenty of space. ”

“We enjoyed our stay at this lovely property. For Christmas we gifted my brother and sister in law a weekend away with us to go to a Sharks game and the Winchester Myster House tour. It was a big deal becuase it was the 1st time they were leaving their 9 month old twins. The property was perfect. We all stated how clean and easy to check in it was. We didn't spend of lot of time at the house but we would go back when we could hang and relax. The kitchen was stocked with water, coffee and snacks……

“We had a family trip to meet up with friends and families in the area. Perfect location and just exactly what we needed. Host was good at checking in before and after our stay. ”

“Loved everything about this place, met all our needs but only issue was the beds. The back bedrooms, one bed was loud when positioned yourself that is sounded like you were sleeping on plastic bottles. The other bed was hard and made us sink in the middle. ”

“Our stay was a short one while we were visiting our daughter who lives less than a mile away. We spent most of our time at our daughter’s house and really only slept at this property. It was very clean and well-stocked in a great neighborhood and within walking distance of a number of great eateries and small shops. ”
