"Secrets Akumal was an extraordinary experience that exceeded my expectations in many ways. The food was delicious, the pools were pristine, and the entire hotel, including our room, public bathrooms, and everything in between, was remarkably clean. Secrets Akumal truly pays attention to every detail. The beach, unfortunately, was not great due to seaweed, but this was not the hotel’s fault. They did everything possible to clear it. But the most impressive aspect of the resort was its service team. Jonas, Max, Ara, and the rest of the entertainment team were all incredibly friendly and fun. The wait staff was also excellent. Diego from Market Cafe, Raul from Portofino, Santiago from Beach Service, and many more, all provided great service and attentiveness. Our room was always clean and stocked with everything thanks to Silvia and our concierge, Leidy. I highly recommend trying this resort out. You won’t regret it. "

"We absolutely love ABR! Our family has been visiting this resort for the past 15 years, and it continues to be a special place for us. Each year, we notice thoughtful updates and improvements, all while maintaining the natural beauty of the grounds, which blend seamlessly with the surroundings. Everything is always impeccably clean, and the staff is consistently kind, polite, and attentive. We especially enjoy the 8 AM yoga sessions, daily beach volleyball, and the wide variety of delicious food and drinks. While the evening entertainment could use some improvement—most nights the bands don't quite energize the crowd—there’s always a great atmosphere in the main palapa after dinner. Sundays are a highlight, with a fantastic Salsa/Cumbia band that gets everyone on the dance floor! During our recent stay, the sargassum issue affected the beaches, which was unfortunate but beyond anyone’s control. Akumal Bay is typically home to some of the most stunning beaches and snorkeling we’ve ever experienced. Overall, we love this resort for its welcoming, international vibe and outstanding customer service. We look forward to returning again!"

"Absolutely Perfect Beachfront Getaway! This apartment was everything I could’ve hoped for and more! Impeccably clean, quiet, and secure, it’s the perfect escape for anyone looking to truly relax. The best part? You can literally walk out of the living room straight onto the soft, white sand and take in the breathtaking view of the ocean—it’s like your own private slice of paradise. The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful with no noise, just the sound of the waves. It felt like a true retreat. The food and drinks on site were excellent, and the bartender is top-notch—professional, friendly, and mixes some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. Having parking available is a huge plus, especially at the beach. This place has everything covered. I can’t wait to come back—it’s now one of my favorite places to stay!"
