“The property was very beautiful and clean; however, it was way too humid, our beds were wet, our clothes were wet. Also we weren’t able to get in the ocean, it was full of seaweed. If you are friendly with iguanas, you will see them a lot all over the property.”

“La vdd es que es un hotel bastante tranquilo, con plan de realmente echar flojera y relajarte. El 85% de clientes son americanos y 10% extranjero y 5% mexicano. Así que es difícil el socialismo si no dominas el idioma La comida es regular, solo tengo que felicitar al restaurante "Adelita" que está muy muy rico, fue lo más rico que comí ahí en 4 días TODO el personal super amable, atento y te piden las cosas con demasiada gentileza. Sin problema alguno. Las habitaciones amplias y las……

“This was one of the most dreamy places I've ever visited. The grounds were gorgeous between the beach, the jungle, and the architecture. The service was unrivaled. Luxurious in every sense. Can't wait to come back!”

“Very nice hotel, very clean, staff was cleaning the property constantly! The food was good, I think we went off season because every night they only had one restaurant open. Buffet was open for breakfast and lunch and they had plenty of options! I wish they had a good coffee shop or at least coffee syrups, I don’t like sugar in my lattes, which was the only options to sweeten you coffee. This was labeled as a VIP property but it’s not. So don’t book for that, we weren’t given any VIP perks.……

“It was our second time staying at Barcelo Colonial and it turned out to be much better in many ways than the 1st time. Highly recommend this resort for families with kids.”
