“On arrival greeted by reception as if they’d been having a bad day and letting it show. Hotel is pleasant enough but I don’t expect luxury what I do expect a comfortable bed. My expectations were not met here. Easily the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. Mattress must have been 20 years old. I resorted to pulling out the sofa bed at 2am it was that bad. Better but not a great alternative. Maybe I got unlucky. ”

“Very noisy because of the pub below so until 23:00 loud then from 05:00 in the morning music starts again and people singing so if you want to party I guess it’s the right place but if you want to rest get yourself a proper hotel room, me personally I wouldn’t go back ”

We were fascinated by the history of the manor, furnished by It was brought to life by David, who was prepared to spend as much time as we needed to explain things and give us helpful tips about the area. He also made us an excellent breakfast every morning. I loved his own concoction of oats, yoghurt and other delicacies. The manor and its furnishings ”

I parked and asked reception during check in if that's the right place to park and they advice me yes. After return home from my business trip, I get a parking ticket from the hotel. “The staff at check in were extremely helpful and frie dly. The room was clean and very dark, although there was plenty of lighting, it was subdued. It was impractical having to walk all the way round the bed to wash your hands after using the toilet. Having a small sink in with the toilet would have been more convenient and sanitary.”

“Friendly staff, clean rooms, nice bar/restaurant. Check in time was a little off (about 1 hour) which I think was a capacity issue. Spa was great, Sauna and Steam rooms were a little small to match the capacity of the hotel. I enjoyed my stay though apart from the capacity issue. If you’re staying there for the spa treatments, you should confirm availability before booking a room, they seem to have pretty limited slots which is disappointing for anyone planning to relax and complete escape from……
