"This is my second stay in this home. It’s cozy and peaceful and perfect for our needs. I saw bald eagles and otters again and made some more wonderful memories. Cathy the owner is very kind and easy to communicate with. The home has amenities I don’t usually find in other short term rentals and the fresh eggs were a lovely treat. We will be back for sure!"

The Murphy bed was comfortable as well as the main bed. We were incredibly bummed that the fog never lifted during our stay. The water is RIGHT THERE, but we never saw it. Location is great, close to ft Bragg and Mendocino. Of note, we felt weird taking a shower or washing dishes because it is plastered everywhere about how bad the drought...

"I’ve been coming to Mendocino for 25 years — sometimes with kids, sometimes with my spouse, and sometimes on my own. This is the nicest place I’ve stayed at. I initially booked it for myself, but then my husband decided to join me. I was worried from the pictures that it might be too cramped for 2 people, but that was not at all the case. "Stayed for a couple nights this summer with my teenage daughter and niece. The girls loved it. Looks just like the pictures. Kitchen was well stocked. Short drive to downtown, beaches and trails. There were no window coverings in the main living space which I thought was weird at first but then we watched the evening light come through the trees. Beautiful. It’s very quiet and peaceful. You have your own little nook on the property with trees all around. Perfect for what we needed to explore...

We’d catch the sunset out past pudding creek and head back to the warmth and serenity of the cottage. A great place to sip morning coffee, read a book, and listen to music. It is clean and well appointed with towels, linens, and kitchen supplies. The heater is very efficient in warming up too! Spencer was very communicative - checking in and out was a breeze. "If you are looking for one of the best views on the Mendocino coast, while seated on your own deck, surrounded by 3 acres of peace and quiet, look no further. The cottage is exactly as advertised. Simple, clean, nothing fancy but very comfortable. The kitchen has all the basics (2 burner cooktop - no stove/oven, toaster oven, microwave) and nice touches such as three different kinds of coffee makers & coffee beans/grinder. You can cook basic meals and don't forget, fabulous restaurants/cafes are...
