"Our second stay at Baxter's Hideaway was just as wonderful as the first. Albert is very responsive. The property very clean and well-equipped. The proximity to the bike trail is great. With beautiful weather we meandered along Church Street Marketplace in Burlington each night (highly recommend!). If you want to eat dinner in Burlington we recommend making reservations well in advance. We will definitely return again next fall!"

"This was the second time we stayed at this cozy cottage on Mallets Bay. We love the location, close to Burlington, and the view from the cottage is gorgeous! Beverly and Gordon are friendly hosts and responded right away to any questions we had. We will most certainly be back again!"

"Beds were comfortable and the 3 season porch was a great place to unwind. We enjoyed the view of the water from the house. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes. At night we could hear tree frogs calling on the other side of the road, which was fun. There's also a park nearby with walking trails, and a grocery store close by. Zachary's Pizza is also close and we had an excellent pizza there. It was about 20 minutes to downtown Burlington. A very relaxing place to stay, so glad we found it!"

"We loved our stay for the 2024 total eclipse! The house is on a hill with beautiful mountains all around, and it is very quiet - it's like you have the mountains to yourself. The house itself is one of the most comfortable my family of 4 has rented and not cramped like many rentals. The living room is huge with plenty of seats, there is room around the table to easily seat 6, and the kitchen is big enough for multiple cooks. "I had a great experience at this property! It was the perfect place to watch the eclipse, and made a a great home base. I was pleasantly surprised at how well stocked the kitchen was, as far as dining ware and cookware goes. We needed to call Albert to turn up the heat, but he arrived promptly and was very pleasant to interact with. We loved the decor of the place, and would love to return if we find ourselves in the neighborhood again."
