“An hour after checking in and going to my room, I was advised that there was an additional $96 fee because my room had been changed from a king to two double beds. The king was unavailable. Felt like a down grade because it was on the first floor and could every step of the people above. Thanks to Expedia for fixing it and not making me pay the surprise charge.”

Rooms are clean and the bed comfortable. The hot weekend brought us to the pool, it was clean, nicely maintained and plenty of towels. Good experience with the BW in Amador.”

“A lot of the furniture was damaged or straight up broken. The shower head was leaking from the actual shower head (not the connection). The beds were horrendous - uncomfortable and felt unstable. There was hair all over the bathroom. The breakfast was okay, but almost zero gluten free options.”

“Really like the historical aspect to the hotel. It was very clean, very well-maintained. Love the location. Parking was a breeze. And Tamara at the front desk was over the top delightful. “While the property was clean, when we arrived and checked into the room, our room was so hot, you’d think, since they knew they were having people stay in this room, they’d turn on the air, but no. We had to turn on the air and leave for awhile. Thankfully, it cooled, but not a great start. And if your a person, like myself and my family, we don’t like to wake up to a bright room- the curtains were so thin, the room was so bright, we couldn’t sleep. So, definitely will not be returning.”

“This little cabin was perfect! You can see the main house from the driveway and front door, but with the direction of the home and an umbrella, you feel like you're all by yourself in the woods. There are some pups, but they were well behaved and didn't come around often. This is a great little cabin—perfect for a 2 person get-away—with all the amenities you will need. There was a coffee maker and tea, grill on the patio, and we were able to cook breakfast and dinner each day of our stay with……

“When we go to Sutter Creek we usually stay at the hotel Sutter and have enjoyed it. This trip however did't go near as well. Check in was fine, but the girl was a bit confused on some items, such as, that in the morning there would be muffins and things and coffee starting at 6am - didn't happen. As we were settling into our room a cockroach ran across the carpet (I did tell front desk). Wasn't clear where the ice machine was, but eventually found it. We didn't realize we were put in the room……

“Pros: Comfy clean place Close to Big Trees state park and friend's place Cons: -Some guests were not aware of "quiet hours". At 11 pm I finally got up and went out to ask them, repectfully , to please quiet down. They apologized and left. -The air conditioner kept cycling on/off what seemed like every 5 minutes. This may be due to poor insulation around the room door as light comes threw the door jamb. -The limited hours that staff is present had us a littled worried. Except for the last……

“The Rest Hotel in downtown Plymouth is a gem of a find! Quaint, cute, perfect location, perfect amenities, and the rooms were much better than "normal" hotels. However, the best part of our visit was the staff. They are caring, responsive, polite, and fun! My wife will only stay at the Rest Hotel when we return to Amador County Wine Country!”
