“This Hotel Is The One You Don't Want to Miss!!!!!!”

This all-inclusive is truly top-notch. With fully stocked top shelf bars at every turn (including your room), and culinary masterpieces served at every meal, it is difficult to find a resort hotel that can surpass the Royal Playa del Carmen. While the hotel was at max. capacity, service never missed a beat. From the pool wait staff who spoil you by getting you drinks every 10 minutes, to the waiters who are attentive, caring, and happy to serve you, and the chefs who take pride with every meal by serving food that is beautifully prepared/displayed, this resort is truly 5 stars because of its staff and amentities. Location of resort is the best -- ocean front, but conveniently located about 2 blocks from the shopping/entertainment zone of Playa Del Carmen. The rooms are spacious -- beautiful -- and filled with many extras like soft robes, TV, DVD player, wi-fi internet, fully stocked mini-bar (including bottles of liquor/wine in your room), and 24/7 room service (usually 20 minutes for delivery of food), and a spa-type bathroom with a rainforest shower head, and many extras. If you are looking for a truly top resorts, the Royale is the place to be!

“Our Stay”

It's the nicest place we've been thus far. Staff was courteous and helpful. It is our plan to return next year....hoping to get the room just below ours (Room 328). We had an ocean view room which was perfect. It was on the 3rd floor as we requested but we didn't realize there was no elevator so the stairs became an issue. We did have a problem with the safe and the toilet leaked but as soon as we called, someone was sent to help.

“The Royal is wonderful”

The hotel is wonderful, Very clean and the rooms are spacious. The staff is very accomodating. The resort is right across from downtown Playa del Carmen so it's nice to take walks there. The food is very good.

“Great for couples”

My husband and I just returned from our honeymoon and are already excited about returning. The food was beautiful and delicious, and the drinks were always flowing. I work in customer service, and the staff here was beyond amazing. We've never been treated so kindly at a hotel. There are only two things we would have changed: #1 more mexican food. Sounds silly (and the food was amazing) but don't be surprised if you don't eat any burritos, tacos, enchiladas etc. the entire time. And #2 they say "no spring breakers" which is awesome, but most of the people in their 40's were behaving much worse than spring breakers. We are in our mid-late 20's and were shocked by some of the lewd behavior by these "adults." The groups of 20+ middle aged, drunken people didn't ruin our honeymoon, but again, don't be surprised if you run into a few. Those things minor in comparison to all of the amazing ammentities this hotel has. We had the best time of our life and can't wait to return. :)

this is one of the BEST all-inclusive resorts we've been to. the food was GREAT! the bar service on the beach and by the pool was wonderful! very relaxing and all around a great vacation! can't say enough good about this resort! looking forward to returning with our kids in a couple years :)

“ALL Inclusive for Foodies”

I was recommended to this all inclusive from a friend. We went for our 10 year wedding anniversay. I was not much into all inclusives, but this one definately proved to be different. Everything was kept emaculate. The grounds and architecture are beautiful. The staff always polite and helpful. The best part of this all inclusive, you have the ability to eat at several restaurants. Your not stuck at a cafeteria style dinning at every meal. You can choose where you want to eat and at almost any time. The bartendars and staff always were there with drinks and were always great, even when you weren't tipping them (which is part of the all inclusive). The beach was beautiful the cabanas were plenty and we went at a peak week. We did not have to listen to a sales pitch or were even approached by anyone, which was great!

“Royal Presidential - May 2012”

Excellent hotel. Stayed in the Presidential Suite which was well worth the extra expense. The room was very clean and everything in the room has been maintained. The room service was good, However they almost never used the "magic Box", I think they may have been looking for a tip. Constant activities will keep you busy. The food at all the restaurants was very good with the exception of the Chef's Plate which was excellent.

“Great time”

We enjoyed the most being there. Awesome hotel and the staff is great. THey helped in everything we need. The restaurants are superb too. The only bad thing is the rocky beach near the pier, but onde you get to the left it is fine.
