“Pretty great experience overall. We had a couple issues of the rooms not being stocked with towels or soap when we arrived. But they fixed that. Both toilets had to be fixed while we were there, unlucky I guess. But we really enjoyed the pool, gas grills and convenient location to all the amenities in Williamsburg. Would stay again if we are in the area.”

“The property has a great all inclusive breakfast and also love the fact that they have an outdoor pool since the neighboring hotel doesn't. I've stayed here in the past when visiting family near by and haven't been disappointed. Also I want to thank the two front desk employees Michelle and Tyrese, for understanding my situation and being super accommodating to my needs. You guys rock!!! See you all again in the near future.”

“Maybe a better choice out of the surrounding hotels but definitely didn't feel like it was as great as most of the reviewers have mentioned. The front lobby appears nice and the staff were very friendly. However, although they maybe had some renovations, rooms still felt a little outdated and small. The bathrooms were small and you could definitely see the wear and tear on the ceiling of the shower and the shower head was very low for a standard bathroom shower. But what I really had an issue……

“The building is old and smells older. Cleanliness was fair at best. Entire building and rooms are cooled only by window units, so the rooms were not very cool. We were there for only an evening, so we tolerated it. We did eat at the Williamsburg Inn and that was a good atmosphere. We wanted to stay in an historic place, but would not consider the Griffin again.”

“Being in a cellular dead zone, the Hotel should have a robust WiFi system, but it does not. The only location that you could adequately connect was in the breakfast area downstairs during the breakfast hours. The Hotel now has a policy in which they do not clean rooms or provide clean towels unless you are staying more than three nights. You can of course ask for clean towels, but on one occasion they supplied only one set for two people. Breakfast isn’t served until 8:00AM, and at times you……
