"We had a great stay. There were 10 of us staying in the house. We were very comfortable, everyone slept well. The kids were a little disappointed that there wasn’t a lighter to get the fireplace going but that didn’t affect our fun, only mentioning that because some people may be very disappointed if that were to happen. "This is a good place to stay during outdoor activities in the area. The cabins are small (as stated in the description) so it's not great for extended indoor time. The fans provided in the room are helpful to drown out the traffic noise from US-31. I've stayed in these motel cabins off and on for almost 50 years and I still love the location on the Platte!"

"We had an amazing time during our stay at Peter's cabin. Cute cabin, on the lake, surrounded by trees. Beautiful scenery, something out of a movie. Perfect location on the lake for our 2-year-old. Private sand area by the dock in front of the cabin. The water is only about 1-2 feet deep until the end of the dock which was perfect for our son to play in. Happy we were on Lower Herring as it was calm enough for us to get in the water every day. Loved access to the private beach at the Watervale...

"I came up north for work and stayed here with my dog. It was perfect! Winter rates fit my budget. Comfortable bed, nice shower. You can see Crystal Lake through the trees from the big front windows. Everything was very clean and I enjoyed the ambiance of the gas fireplace. Frankfort and Beulah are both close by. I love old cabins and this one provided for a lovely stay. I decided to add a night and Eric made it very easy. I would definitely return."

"Beautiful stay tucked away in the woods. A minute from Crystal Lake and a few minutes in any direction from beautiful scenery. I messed up the booking short a day and the host was more than accommodating. Would absolutely book again!"

"Great location. Poor maintenance. Trash was overflowing when we arrived. Food was left in the fridge and freezer from the last renters, so it was never cleaned out. Chairs by the lake were broken. We notified management and they said someone local would reach out, but nobody ever did."
