"Very good prices for the room, the bar and restaurant. Free coffee in the lobby. 👍 The hotel is so quiet. You hear nothing within your room, which is non existent nowadays, with the cookie cutter franchise hotel chains. All kinds of quiet, well lit, comfortable places in the hotel, to sit and read, on comfortable couches and chairs by the historic windows. The hotel is majestic and the rich history is great. I love the history museum in the Lower Level. No extra charges: Free Parking No resort fees Free, really nice, work out facility, open 24 hours. Nearby, 10 minute walk to Elmwood Avenue: Great bars, quick places to eat, awesome Pubs, and finer dining restaurants on Elmwood Ave. Incredibly diverse neighborhood. Everyone is so nice and accepting. Didn't have a bad meal or experience on Elmwood Ave for the week we were at The Richardson. I cannot recommend The Richardson, the hotel staff, the area or our experience, any higher than "Incredible" It's now our "go to" hotel every time we come to Buffalo. Buffalo people are so darn nice.❤️"

"The good: Great location in the Elmwood Village area. Extremely walkable. Once you're inside, the place is beautiful. It oozes charm and personality. The common areas are great, and our room was very, very nice. Comfortable bed, large bathroom, new TV, fridge. Parking was very convenient. Entry into the building and the room was great, with a custom code that worked on both doors. Finally, very responsive concierge (we interacted through text). The not-so-good: Our room was on the 1st floor, so very close to the common area. The walls are thin, so if people are out there, you hear them. No big deal during the day, but we had people out there from 10 pm until midnight, and they were very loud. That in and of itself isn't the property's fault, but it is a reality if your room is close to that area. The more concerning part, however, is with noise upstairs. This is an old building with wood floors, so every footstep made upstairs is very loud downstairs. The first night, the people above us were apparently doing a cattle drive from midnight until 3 am, and again starting at 6 am. The second night was better, but still, you just hear every footstep and movement. So... we would absolutely stay here again if we were able to get a 2nd floor room. And unless you are one of those people who can sleep through a hurricane, you may want to consider the same."

"Lovely house that was perfect space for our family of 4 while in town for a swim meet at ECC. The bedrooms are spacious and it’s so nice they all have a closet AND a set of drawers. The kitchen is nicely stocked and we were able to eat quite a few meals at home. The coffee shops, bakery and ice cream shop within a block are all awesome and it’s very walkable to Elmwood Ave and all that has to offer. Just know it’s on the edge of a transitional area so stick ore to the elmwood side of the neighborhood. "

"The apartment is in a great location. Its spacious inside and really well decorated. There was plenty of street parking. It was a great place and was much cheaper than hotel rooms were going to be. If we come back to Buffalo this summer we will try to stay here again!"
