"Check in was good. General manager told us breakfast would be on the 4th floor between 8-10am. Went up to get it on Wednesday morning, doors locked. Went downstairs and the general manager said here’s a few muffins. No juice or any other choices. I said you told me there was breakfast on the 4th floor, which is advertised on their website and on hotels.com She said not today, just Tuesday and Thursday. Went up this morning, hoping for a hot breakfast and fruit which is pictured on their website. There were small bagels, muffins and cereal. Nothing hot. No fruit. "Given its location in iffy downtown Wilmington, the hotel’s outdoor parking lot up the block was an insurance risk. The furnishings constituted a 3-star Corporate Ad for Plastics. Happy Hour was pleasant if you wanted to mingle with young backpack-equipped corporate sales novices attending a motivational conference. The breakfast buffet included almost completely cold scrambled eggs (just enough heat to keep the bacteria multiplying: another insurance risk—we both came down with diarrhea the next day). The breakfast sausages could have been manufactured using the leather from someone’s belt. The wafels and bread looked scary to. The shower was disappointing. To their credit, however, the staff was—without exception—both friendly and helpful. "
