“Room was excellent as were the amenities. Access was easy and the cabin (Bamboo Cabin) was very quiet and extremely private. Bath Hpuse was very good as was the shared kitchen - clean, well equiped and round an enjoyable stay. Highly recommended for those wanting something off the beaten track.”

Sarah’s breakfasts are one of a kind, fresh, healthy and a different taste everyday. At the Luana-Inn you’ll feel like at home, no room service but everything you need is available, just ask. The 2 cabins near the pool need acoustical insulation from the floor above. The Captain cook area is like a jungle, luscious green and beautiful winding roads to get to the property....

“Is it not a good place for more than one night. Don't choose this place. We stayed 6 nights, they didn't change the blankets once, they only changed the bath towels once. There's no privacity. They offer free breakfast. We took it for 2 days, until we saw how she prepares the juice. She squeezes oranges full of mold, we asked her why she does it like that and she said there is not problem, that it does not taste bad and she has always done it that way. “This 2 bed, 2 bath apartment with a full kitchen and available washer and dryer was a great place to stay in the Captain Cook area. The house is located in an area which is walking distance to the water, which does involve a long and windy drive down the hill from highway 11, the Mamalahoa Hwy. The accommodations are comfortable and spacious. The host is charming and hospitable.”

“Very nice host and hostess. Very willing to help with any need we had. Beautiful home with a beautiful overlook. Having no AC was really not a problem, but The house could use a few ceiling fans, especially in the bedrooms. We did enjoy using the swimming pool but A little more attention to the swimming pool and hot tub would have been appreciated. The hot tub had a heavy cover and was considered unusable by us.”

“The house fit the island vibe so well. Open air, the best views we could ask for. Everything was comfortable and clean and we loved all the amenities. The pool and hot tub were great and our kids loved the basketball court, pickleball court and ping pong table. The driveway to get down is fairly steep but we got used to it. Closest restaurants and grocery store were about 25 minutes so that was another thing we had to get used to. But for the view and quiet and peacefulness, it was worth it. The...
