"Wish they had a hot tub. Place is seriously lacking on the hot tubs. Hot tub shortage at this place. I have made a list on my top 30 recommendations for the resort. 1. I wish there was a hot tub here 2. Would be perfect if they had a hot tub 3. They really should’ve added a hot tub 4. A hot tub would make this place elite 5. Missing one thing—a hot tub 6. This spot needs a hot tub ASAP 7. Imagine this place with a hot tub 8. A hot tub would take this to the next level 9. Only thing it’s lacking is a hot tub 10. I’d love this even more with a hot tub 11. They dropped the ball not adding a hot tub 12. This would be unreal with a hot tub 13. If only there was a hot tub 14. "The staff is the shining star of Emerald Resort. The resort is in need of updating, it has a great location and all the rooms face the beach but it is rundown. Which gives off as not being clean. At breakfast one of my travel companions' breakfast came with butter packets and one of the butter packets had already been used. Plus the sugar bowl had empty packets in it and the jelly packets had food smeared on the bottom which says they reuse them for other guests."

"Our room was amazing. We enjoyed the whirlpool and large shower with bench. The beds were extremely comfortable, but our absolute favorite part of the room was the view from our balcony. We had the furthest room away and loved sitting on the balcony of the Dubloon, listening to the waves hit the shore. Extremely relaxing! The only negative we had with the Bucaneer is the service at the Terrace. The wait staff was extremely slow and the one dinner that we had reserved, we actually ended up leaving before we had a chance to order dinner. Also 20% gratuity was already added onto our tab, so I was pretty upset with having to pay our waitress $10 for 2 drinks after being made to wait 30 minutes for my boyfriend's planned birthday dinner. The rest of the staff was amazing, though. We always had quick transport from our room up to the main area for breakfast."

"Air conditioning went out middle of nite, power in bath went out, shower flooded the floor thru the tile. No courtsey of refund considered. A tiny bottle of body wash. I used our own soap I had tossed in my bag. No restaurant now either. We had to take a cab to eat."

"The best place to stay and have all the comforts. Delicious food. Outstanding staff. Exceptional bar staff. Great location overlooking bay and downtown!!! Stayed here many times. NEVER DISAPPOINTED "

"The staff was not friendly at all and the air conditioning to the room was broken. Unbeknownst to me, my room had been switched to another room and I was yelled at by housekeeping to leave immediately. When I went downstairs to inquire they told me I needed to pay the difference for the room and they had no record of me being on the premises. Had it not been for the fact that I was barely at the hotel, I would have left that first day. "

"The best thing about this "resort" is the bar staff. They were great and made food that was good. The room was comparable to a Motel 6. There was one restaurant and it was mediocre at best. A couple of nights, the food was edible while the remaining evenings, we just ate salads. The same restaurant does breakfast too and it was OK for breakfast. The girl at the front desk was rude and 2 members of our party of 10 were on the other end of the property. Apparently there was a room to move us to with the rest of the group, but the front desk didn't let us know. The beach was average. The activity staff was available to help with kayaks, snorkels, or putt putt equipment. The pool was really clean and the only hot tub was hot, then cold as there were apparently issues with temperature control. Overall, your trip is what you make it, so we enjoyed ourselves."

"This property is rented as a waterfront view. Half the time you’re there you will be looking directly at the side of a cruise ship that completely blocks any view of any water. I don’t know how this was overlooked when describing the property, but I think that everybody should know this before booking a waterfront room here."
