“Im Gegensatz zu der ein Jahr vorher gebuchten Villa (7024) ist die Villa 7027 in einen deutlich schlechteren Zustand. Risse in Wände, kaputte Fenster (Schlafzimmer), verrostete Ablagefächer im Bad, dreckiges Geschirr, loose Türen an den Küchenschränken, usw. Hier sollte man renoviert werden.”

“Sands of Islamorado is a hidden gem. It is a very well maintained piece of Americana. Rooms are updated, spacious and very clean. The pool / lounging area is very well maintained. Got there late and did not meet staff but you can tell they take pride. This was my first time actually stopping in the Keys on the way to Key West and was not let down. Next trip will include several nights at the Sands of Islamorado. ”

“Pool and beach area were extremely nice. The room was nice and clean, but you can tell it was an older hotel that they are working on remodeling. In some areas you could tell there was some deferred maintenance.”

“I had booked a king room with water view which we did get,however pictures are not like showed bathroom was dingy looking not at all as pictures . We contacted front desk they said the room we booked was already booked but could give us a similar with 2 double beds however and did not compensate any $ .We contacted expedia and they gave us a small refund ,as they spoke to property which refused to do anything for them .I guess better than nothing .This property needs a lot of updating, driveway……

“Very cozy and clean place, very safe area, and across the street from shopping and groceries. 5 minutes drive to beautiful Sombrero Beach. Will stay there again, if available, the next time we travel to the area. ”
