"We had 4 couples and 4 kids, and booked almost 2 years in advance for the eclipse. The Rusty Rio is quaint and what it appears to be....a fun and "campy" spot. The only gripe we had was that when we booked, we filtered rentals that had hot tubs, and hot tub was listed as an amenity. It didn't work, and likely hasn't for many years. "My friends and I came to San Antonio for the solar eclipse. I honestly can't believe we were so lucky to find this house to stay in! It's a beautiful home and in a wonderful neighborhood. Everything was so clean! I would definitely book it again. We specifically needed a place with a bedroom downstairs because one person has trouble with stairs. This one does have a bedroom on the first floor, but the downstairs bathroom is only a sink and toilet. The two upstairs bathrooms are full with showers...

"After traveling from Amarillo to Dallas for a medical appt, we made arrangements for a couple of days in Hill Country just for some downtime. The home was beautiful and comfortable. Everything was inviting, quiet and relaxing. The only thing we were disappointed with was that we could not use the pool (as this was the number one reason for booking.) All in all, it was a trip well worth the time and will most likely book again (only next time make sure the pool is warm enough for use)."
