“The property has an over, microwave, dishwasher and a full fridge, which is rare to find at this price.
The host responded to my messages promptly.
The only issue I found was that there is little noise insulation, so the noise could comes in from outside and the hallway.

“The location is nearby many restaurants and shops. The units are basic, but have what you need. Unit was very clean. The noise from adjacent units is clear. When the cleaners were in the unit above it was very loud. The stairs from the sidewalk to entry door are fairly steep with narrow steps. There is a narrow curving staircase to reach second floor units. Typical old apartment building issues, but travelers with mobility concerns may struggle carrying bags up and down the stairs. ”

“The staff was amazing and super useful, the only drawback was the cleanliness of the room, the electric baseboard had spots of dirt like dried liquid and dust, there was unknown hairs and eyelashes on the sheets. Maybe their dryer need some cleaning? We like the emplacement and character of the place, it's just a shame the room was dirty.”

“This location was fantastic for our needs on this trip and put us in a great spot for our little tour of Montréal. The room was clean & modern, and fairly well stocked on cutlery, dishes, etc. We had to ask for more TP as only 1 partial roll was supplied but no issues getting it. Front desk was friendly & helpful, and we didn't have any major issues with the room itself. This place is only a 2 minute walk or so from the metro, and is located at the heart of a lot of good food & shopping!

“Boxotel isn't particularly fancy, but it has everything you need for a great stay in Montreal. It is located within easy walking distance to downtown, old Montreal, the mountain and the plateau. The rooms aren't big but they are modern, comfy and well equipped. The rooftop terrace is bright and private; and the breakfast bar gives you everything you need to get on your way in the morning. We have stayed here twice and will definitely be back!”
