"This property is very cute and the staff were super accommodating. The downsides though are that there is no access to the docks directly outside the rooms which I found quite sad, there is a small beach for water access which is convenient it’s just not very convenient if you rent kayaks and have to lug them all the way over. Another downside is not every room has a kitchen which my husband and I didn’t realize before booking, so we made due with the microwave and toaster. When we first arrived in the room we were met with a half used roll of toilet paper and maybe two towels, thankfully when I spoke to the lodge they provided plenty of extra toilet paper and towels for our 3 week stay. It’s definitely a cute lodge to spend some time at, our room was just a bit underwhelming when we first arrived but we ended up having a nice time in the area checking out different festivals and visiting traverse city."

"Paul, who was working the desk when I checked in was welcoming and very helpful. He truly is an asset to this property. I travel a lot, stay in hotels a lot. One thing I notice is if the corners in the bathroom are clean or if the floor was just mopped, and the water left standing in the corners. My room was impeccably, clean, even the corners in the bathroom. The only issue that I had and it’s very minor, is that there is no stopper in the sink. I wear contacts and have to rinse them off in the sink. My fear was that I would drop it and it would be gone. The solution was to just put a washcloth over the drain. I will definitely stay at this Baymont when I am back in Traverse City."

"Grandkids had a great time. So it is a fun family friendly place but not a cost family friendly place. The $20 plus tax parking fee was excessive and we feel parking should be free. Lockers available to store your things in the pool area if you are willing to pay the fee. Thankful that the towels in the pool area were no additional charge. Food choices are good and the food was good just be prepared for the high prices. There are lots of other activities for kids to do but you need to be willing to pay the $60-80 per child per activity to do them. Our advice is to go there with a very specific plan and have it all detailed out with your kids so they understand plan."

"We were texted at 8am, day of check in that the pool, spa and hot breakfast were all down. We just checked in quickly at 3 to change for a wedding. When we returned from the wedding at night, we noticed how bad the room smelled. On top of all the amenities being down and the smell, we decided to make the 3 hour drive home. We spent an hour on the phone with Hotels.com before being transferred to the hotel front desk. We were told there was nothing they could do because it was so late. If we did not have to be at a wedding, we would have taken care of calling them earlier. This was not a good experience and we would not stay here again."
