“We recently stayed at this hotel in Traverse City. The hotel is extremely dated, and unfortunately, our first room had a strange, musty smell, almost like mold. We asked the front desk to move us, and the staff were extremely helpful and did their best to accommodate us and make our stay more pleasant. Cleanliness was okay, but the bathroom could have been cleaner. I noticed some hair here and there and ended up cleaning the toilet seat myself that evening. I asked the front desk for cleaning,……

“It was my first time to Mackinaw City & Island for my birthday. I searched several hotels in the area then found Cabins at Mackinaw, it was easy and convenient for a reservation. All the staff was friendly and courteous. When I saw the cabin it was exquisite, clean and well-maintained. I was totally satisfied with the cabin it completed my first time experience to Mackinaw City. If anyone is looking for a great getaway in Mackinaw City & Island I'd highly recommend these cabins, you won't be……

“Great room. Large enough for four to stay.”

“Our family wanted to get a mini trip in before school started and this was perfect. The beach was nice on the hotel property and easy to get a nice spot on the beach. The hotel provides a little breakfast box every morning which is a nice gesture. It’s not a super modern hotel but we have no issues with our room and the staff was great. When we come back we’ll stay here again.”

“Room had bugs crawling out of crazy places in the morning when we woke up. One ladies shower didn't work, our shower had no shower curtain. No continental breakfast so we got some coffee, the security guard informed my son the coffee isn't brewed daily they just keep the coffee warm all the time and it could remain there for weeks before its gone and they brew more coffee for the pot.”

“While the rooms are somewhat minimalist updated, the hallways are not at all. Outstanding on-site dining. Price value of the room is substantially deficient. In purchasing this booking I concluded an elevated price of $902.00 for each of our 4 nights would provide an exceptional room and overall lodging experience. The property fell short on the lodging side. But the restaurant is wonderful. As a guideline to you, I offer the following. The fair all (taxes, all fees) in price for lodging……

“Hallway by the elevator on the first floor smelled of old cigarette/cigar smoke that has probably been in building for years. It was disappointing that there was not a hot tub next to the pool and that you had to walk down to an older hot tub at the end of the building. The room was clean, and well maintained, and the restaurants and bars were all very nice.”

“I stayed in a 1 bed queen room with my girlfriend. It was just okay. I felt it was way overpriced. $300 for one night. That’s my biggest issue, price. Other than that, the floors in the room were concrete, which made it feel low quality. The staff was friendly. We loved the hotel bar area. The outside courtyard was nice. The parking was convenient and safe. The outside of the hotel looks nice. The hallways are fairly nice looking too. The room was a bit disappointing, again, for the price.……
