"I had read online that it is so hard to book dinners at restaurants so I was proactive about this and informed the staff about it and they seemed to agree that it’s hard to book? We were 5 people so not a huge group and we had a hard time booking any dinner at any time or restaurant we wanted we either got a restaurant we didn’t like or very late times especially during the entertainment activities they do from 8-9pm. We also were told that we had a reservation at the stakehouse one day and we went there and they had no record of it so we had to go to the open buffet. The buffet food was mid. The drinks were so mid as well. I would not go back here again"

"The Ventus Ha part of this El Cid complex is the newest and most chilled. There are 4 pools, 2 main pools and 2 rooftop infinity pools. The rooms are large and clean and housekeeping keep them that way. All the staff are friendly and helpful. I had the Platinum package, which comes with butlers to help you with reservations or whatever you want really. My butlers were Saul and You can eat in all of the restaurants across the El Cid complex, but my favourite was Aakat, the staff and food at this restaurant are the best! The Kobo is also good and you can ask for a vegetarian option here too. I also had lovely meals at Marina and Il de France. There are lots of activities such as, bike rides into town, aquafit, tai chi, spanish lessons, all free across the El Cid sites. Pool chairs were never an issue and bar service around the pool is okay. If I did have one area where I think they could improve, it would be the standard of the house wines. I was travelling by myself for this trip, so didn't want to buy a whole bottle for myself for the evening meal and had to stick to house wines. That said, staff aren't stingy with the wine and are always happy to top up if you like more than one glass with your meal. Ventus Ha is a great place to spend your vacation. I recommend it and will be coming again in the future. Thanks for a lovely stay."

"Choose a different place, staff was not helpful, they didn’t clean our rooms, room service sucked food didn’t show up, food came wrong then came cold, few workers were rude, didn’t always do turn down, power kept going off here and there, WiFi was hit or miss. Overall was a cool place for kids and we met very cool people. But the service and stuff just sucked."

"Service was outstanding, food was ok, room clean, staff super helpful and friendly. The pool are is fun and well kept. The beach area is pretty, too bad that sargassum took over, basically unswimmable. "

"Not worth it! In off season 1 hour wait for table at the Asian restaurant, no ramps for baby stroller, stolen $200 from the safe box, the food is below the cheapest buffet $8.99 lunch time all you can eat, waiters in bad mood (slow season, no customers, no tips), construction everywhere, the hotel is old and dirty, activities during day time are poor, night time shows are the poorest I have even seen, managers asking how is everything, but if you tell them you have an issue, they just walk away (like I didn’t want to hear that, but I really don’t care), after the pool bar closes the staff is collecting the cups around the pool in garbage bags pouring to the grass the leftovers (disgusting, next day people are walking on sticky grass wondering “what’s that”, We stayed there for 9 nights, even if they offer me another 9 nights completely free WE WOULD NOT GO BACK AT THIS HOTEL! This is professional feedback from former restaurant manager, not from person in bad mood! "
