Unlike many of the other times we stayed with different Iberostar resorts, this time we had many issues from the very beging till the end. Starting with the booking process the person who picked up the phone at the hotel was rude and told me there was "nothing available" yet in Expidia there were many rooms available for this specific resort. The food was mediocre, we couldn't get dinner reservations to the restaurants in the resort because again "nothing available" yet the restaurants were almost empty during dinner time. There was no AC in the buffet areas so sweating while eating was the norm. In the restaurants that were first come first serve they told you 1-1.5 hrs and that they would call you when the table was ready. One of the nights we never got a call so went to the buffet, the next night we went back to check after 1 hr and the girl said "we called you and messaged you" yet I never received any calls or messages. Then she went on to say, "let me see what I can do for you since you missed your spot" as I looked around 8 out of the 35 available tables were occupied. Clearly there was avaliability but for some reason they made it seem as if everything was occupied. This seemed to be the reoccurring pattern this whole vacation at this resort, I'm not sure if they are having issues with staff or what the problem was but our amazingly positive previous experiences with Iberostar were compleatly crushed during this stay. I'm not sure we will be returning to Iberostar.
