Hotel Indigo Detroit Downtown by IHG

10/10 Excellent
"Clean , cute and conveniently located in downtown Detroit. It looks just like the pictures online. The front desk was super smiley and friendly and they were quick to check us in. They require a $100 refundable deposit for incidentals and it was back on my card before we even got home! Also, the valet service they offer was extremely professional, helpful with bags and friendly. You were left feeling that your vehicle was safe and in good hands! We will definitely be back for another stay. Thanks to Such a good experience, Indigo!"

Hotel Houze Detroit Downtown

Hotel Houze Detroit Downtown

8/10 Good
"Pros: Excellent location, spacious rooms, and comfortable accommodations. Cons: Extra parking fee, and groups of unhoused individuals frequently gathered near the entrance. My check‑in experience was very disappointing. Despite having a confirmed reservation and proof of payment, I was told upon arrival that the hotel was overbooked and that no room was available. I was offered no solution and was simply told to find another hotel. Only after I pushed back and mentioned contacting Hotels.com did the staff offer a room—fortunately, one of the three people in my group couldn’t make the trip, so the hotel gave us a king room instead of the double‑queen we originally booked. To their credit, once the issue was resolved, the front desk staff was friendly and the rest of the stay went smoothly. I would stay again, but I would definitely call ahead to confirm that my reservation is actually guaranteed. The hotel itself is good, but the check‑in experience needs improvement."
