It looks like an abandoned hotel on the outside the check-in desk person is not always there although it looks like she lives on the property. The plumbing needs to be updated. I had to plunge the toilet. There was a plunger in the bathroom so they knew about the plumbing issues. I stayed on the bottom of the hotel and they were lots of noises upstairs and noises in……

“Island View Guesthouse is a little gem! Their dinning area is quite quaint with an impressive panoramic view of East, South and West Charlotte side of the Island. John and Jerome are great Host, and displayed best in class service. Extremely polite and accommodating. They made my stay comfortable. This is not an invention for future guess to take advantage of them. Just know you will have a comfortable stay. I had dinner here one night. Although quite pricey, the the food and service was……

“Save your time and money and go somewhere else. As a matter of fact, just do yourself a favor and scratch the entire island off your bucket list. It is so far overpriced compared to every other amazing tropical island and the service and attitude of all the locals is just HORRIBLE! This property in particular was not at all what I expected based on the photos and reviews on Expedia. There was no check in instructions other than that the office was only open like 4 hours on the day we were to……

“Our stay at The Saint was great, the room was clean and had a beautiful view of the Sea. The balcony had lovely flowering plants nearby that were wonderfully fragrant which added a special feature to our morning coffee on the porch. The pool bar was perfectly situated to watch the sunset while lounging in a floating chair with a cocktail. Good location with parking and walking distance to Cruz Bay. ”

If you stay at a fancy resort I am guessing you will not experience the idiosyncrasies of island life. We stayed 2 nights and really only slept and showered. The rest of the time we were out exploring. We did have a rental car and never had an issue with parking but it is limited (8 spaces approximately) and I think we were told there were 17 rooms total. “The room was clean and updated. There is an attached bar and grill. It is small but has nice staff and good food. The hotel also has a nicely lit courtyard where we sat and had a couple drinks. The parking is limited and there is a noisy nightclub next door. Good place to stay for a night or two.”
