"Room was really small, older but clean. Shower drained so slowly. Had small swimming pool which we did not use. Location was walkable in Waikiki, which we loved. Staff at reception was helpful except woman at info desk very condescending. Booked our PCC tickets thru concierge. Daniel was really helpful."

"Staff was extremely helpful and polite. Beach views from our room, pool, restaurant AMAZING! Breakfast was so good. I had a Hot dog from the restaurant for lunch that was the best. My room was clean. The pool was excellent. You can get towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and other stuff to rent for the day free at this hotel. This hotel is next to the zoo and about 10 minutes from Diamond Head. 2 minute walk to the beach."

"The room was gorgeous! Bravo for the elevated and tasteful decor. The exterior does need a little facelift here and there as it is an older hotel, but there is a "classic," old Hawaii charm about it. Bell Attendant was a bit pushy when we did not let him take our bags before check in - asking repeatedly - when guaranteed check in was only 30min out. Other than that, the staff at the Veranda was so nice and cheerful and dinner at Arancino was amazing. This is a great option to stay outside of Waikiki."
