“I recently stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Golf Resort Palm Springs with my family for vacation and my experience was quite disappointing. The bathtub in my room was clogged, which made it extremely difficult to take a proper bath. It ended up taking a very long time to shower, which was very frustrating. To make matters worse, my family members who stayed in a separate room also experienced similar issues with their bathtub. For a hotel of this reputation, I expected better maintenance……

“Staff were nice, but the room was a mess. The AC was super noisy and the smoke alarm went off at 5 AM for no reason, which was terrifying. The desk lamp and the room phone were both broken, we had to walk down to the lobby just to talk to the staff. Overall a pretty bad experience.”

“I had higher hopes for this place. Our bathroom had a horrible odor, we did not shower and luckily only stayed one night. The balcony door also doesn't shut close. There was old food placed outside rotting. Pool also did not look clean and there were dogs running around everywhere.”

“Front desk said we would get our room early, but later on another staff member said we won't because they are doing deep cleaning. We ended up going into our room and there was hair on the bathroom floor and shower. Other than that, rest of the room was clean. Staff is terrible. We asked for a late check out and whoever we spoke to on the phone said it was alright only if we pay the additional $79 fee. Later on, after an hour passed from regular check out time, staff called our room and was……

“This property has a lot of character and tons of things to do. It is really well located within walking distance to downtown. The staff is welcoming and the restaurant was great for breakfast. Spacious rooms and good for the price. Would stay again ”

“The hotel is a boutique hotel. It’s very basic in its services - you have to carry your bags up to the room (no lift), cleaning seems to be minimum and there is no front desk, just an unfriendly barman at the bar of the hotel. Upon checkout I was not allowed to see the invoice to check, and the same unfriendly staff told me I should get it by email. I didn’t receive for a few hours so I emailed the hotel (the address given to us at check in, since they don’t have a front desk so you can’t call……

“This is the second time I've stayed here & unfortunately, the upkeep has slipped. For the price point, I expected far more. The pool was full of bugs and leaves, the hot tub water was grimey and white, the TV in my room didn't work and the breakfast offerings were undercooked. ”
