“The staff went out of our way to make us feel welcome. We received a welcome basket with local treats when we arrived and breakfast delivered to the room every morning. There was a happy hour with wine, beer and charcuterie each evening. The room was beautiful and the bathroom was modern and a good size. We have already recommended it to several people and will definitely stay again if we’re in the area.”

“We loved our stay at the Palmetto!! Right when you walk in the staff greets you and the hotel just smells good! There are always drinks in the lobby- water and sweet tea! The room was exactly as pictured and the staff serviced the room multiple times a day which was very nice! The breakfast was minimal but what you’d expect for a continental breakfast- fruit, grits, pastries, hard boiled eggs, biscuits and gravy, and yogurt parfaits. Would’ve loved to see some bagels and cream cheese or bacon or……

“Absolutely perfect location to walk, take bicycle taxis or horse drawn buggies! Loads of restaurants and bars in the area. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful and the extra perks like constantly available coffee, Arnold Palmer, and cucumber water, as well as a wine and cheese at 5:00 and a lovely continental breakfast made it extra special and a good value for the area. $28 to park but they allow you to stay until 3:00 pm, after their generous 12:00 check out time! We’ll be back for sure!”

“Wonderful stay at Mills Inn for the Spoleto Festival. The location is perfect, the room was very comfortable, the outdoor pool a pleasant spot to enjoy some sun, catch up on reading and have a refreshing drink. Champagne in the lobby at 3:30 pm was sheer perfection after a full morning of sightseeing and concerts. Easy walking distance to all attractions and excellent dining. I highly recommend to anyone wanting to enjoy Charleston.”
