“This cabin is meticulously maintained! The host was always available to answer any questions we had about our visit. If you visit this cabin do not pre-anticipate what you need to bring to make your visit comfortable as it is already there! All you need is food and a positive attitude! When we visited at the end of January 2026 we didn't expect the big snowstorm that was coming... They offered extra accomodations for our stay if needed. “Room was large and well cleaned, it came with a sticked kitchenette. The hotel has a nice restaurant in site with outdoor seating overlooking the French Broad River. The hotel was like a museum for the original jail with information on display. The room we stayed in had several original features of the old jail.”
