8.6/10 Excellent! (217 reviews)
I hadn’t been back to South Beach in almost a decade, and over the years I’ve stayed at just about every hotel along Ocean Drive—but this one truly takes the cake!
I booked a Deluxe Room with a king bed and a sofa pullout (Room 2302, $133 a night). It was located on the top floor of the second building at the Park Central Hotel. There’s no elevator in that building, but there are elevators in the first and third buildings. The room was large, modern, and luxurious, featuring two big TVs (42” and 50”)—perfect for catching Sunday football. The place has a small refrigerator, great for leftovers or, in my case, keeping a few beers cold.
Originally, I booked for two nights, but after checking in and settling down, I immediately went to the front desk to extend my stay another two days. When my initial reservation ended, there was a small issue with the extension, but Tanesha at the front desk went above and beyond to help. She upgraded me to a Superior Room (Room 1401) with a balcony on the top floor of Building Three—and wow, what a room!
The balcony offered beautiful views and stunning sunrises. Plus, the hotel features a see-through pool above the lobby and a massive piece of modern artwork that gives the property a true South Beach vibe.
Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. This has officially become my favorite place to stay on Ocean Drive, and I’ll definitely be back!
