“Room was clean, but the shower/tub would not drain. Nasty water filled the tub when showering. Gross. Water pressure wasn't great either. Aside from that, the hotel staff was nice, and the property was pretty clean. Expedia did not cover some taxes when we booked, which surprised us at check out. Their virtual AI stinks so dont bother trying that option. Hampton was helpful in giving us receipts to prove expedia messed up.”

“I’ll begin by saying that the host was very easy to work with and responsive anytime that I contacted him. The typical response time was not even two hours. We were there to attend a wedding, and he graciously allowed us to check in early so that we could get ready. Outside of a slight mistake in the door code, the check-in was very seamless. The main floor was nice and cool and, although it was not upstairs, there were plenty of fans. There was a variety of bath towels available, and the beds……

“The Tiskilwa Inn is nicely restored mansion originally built in 1848. It has 5 guest rooms, all recently refurbished in the finest style. Our first night we were the only guests so it felt like our own private stately home. I want to go back so I can stay in each of the other four rooms.”

“The house was the perfect size for my two kids and I. Everything was clean and exactly as described in the listing. The house felt very home-y and the kids loved all the books, toys, and the rock painting. The neighborhood was quiet, and everything was just a short drive away. Would definitely stay here again.”
