“Easy to book, easy access to room as you get a code and self check-in. Parking was easy too. Room was clean. Would have liked a hairdryer in bathroom - we got there too late to request one.”

“Very nice property close to Great Sand Dunes. Beds were comfy and we slept great. Listing says AC but it's really just a swamp cooler in the window in the main living area.”

“Wonderful mountain cabin. Great amenities. Definitely "out there" but not in a bad way.”

“Cozy beautiful home, great hosts”

“Sue was wonderful! She was responsive with our questions. The place was perfect. The view is breathtaking. It was 36 minutes from the Great Sand Dunes National Park. 10/10!”

“The property is beautiful, secluded but close enough to services to easily access stores and food. We loved the view of the stars at night. The house is off-the-grid, but isn't lacking in modern comforts. We did have to go through unpaved roads to reach the property, but it wasn't too bad once we found a good path to get there! The bed was amazing, and everything was spotless. She put extra care into the amenities and ensured we had everything we needed, and thoughtfully left disposable……

“We loved our stay at Hummingbird Hideaway - it’s a clean, well appointed and quiet place to return to when your day is done (or when you need a nap if I’m honest :-) We enjoyed coffee and yoga on the deck in the morning and a glass of something with sunset and stars. Our dog’s favorite activity was chasing chipmunks - although she didn’t catch any and no animals were harmed. The owners respond to any questions promptly and are both helpful and friendly. If you are in the area, we highly……

“We have stayed at this terrific cabin multiple times and have never been disappointed. The owners have provided a very comfortable place to spend a vacation. The cabin is in a gated mountain community and provides a great experience. We saw elk again and other wildlife. We experienced cooler weather and overall had a great stay. We highly recommend this cabin.”

“My wife and I grew up in the Valley, her on Blanca and myself in Alamosa wwe do this every year to stay close to family so the property was a good place for all, beautiful! The grills outside neither was even clean enough to use.So our cooking was done inside on more dirty cooking surfaces, The range had so much grease under griddle, we worried about a fire because we brought kabobs to cook outside but couldn't. Did I mention the range hood lights didn't work! My wife checked the silverware and……

“This house was a delightful experience! It had everything we needed, from kitchen ware and coffee products, to toiletries fully stocked in the bathroom. There was a cute back yard with a grill, covered picnic table, and ambient lighting outside. The house was very clean and comfortable, quite charming actually. We will definitely stay here again and recommend to family and friends who travel through this area often. Thank you!”

“Very quiet and secluded setting. ”

“Amazing. Even though we weren't in the house most of the time, out exploring the town and Sand dunes, it has a amazing view of the mountains and the sky at night.”

“Our experience was terrible because we rented this property and when we got to the place at night with no WiFi signal, the property was occupied. We had to find a last minute hotel. ”

“This place was perfect for the 7 of us...all adults! The house care taker was very informative and super nice! The house had everything we needed plus some! The dogs, cows and donkey was a plus! The views were breathtaking! We would definitely recommend staying here”
