Book Isla Contoy Bed & Breakfast

"I didn't book the all inclusive pkg, but 1 day was raining so I tried to just pay as I went but talked into pre authorizing 4000 pesos, I had the breakfast buffet and later tried to get a couple of drinks from the pool bar, was told no, went to the front desk, she called and said I'm good to go. I went back to the pool bar and was denied again, then I settled/cancelled my pre auth, paid for the breakfast(475 pesos and not worth it no fruit at the buffet) I was embarrassed and annoyed and left, glad the rain stopped and I could venture out as Isla is know for many great eateries. Room was good, was clear and the WiFi was only 4hrs per day too. Couldn't imaging if I kids with me at this resort. "

"My wife and I travelled to Mexico from the UK and spent 12 days on holiday at this resort. We had a wonderful time. We did not pay to be privilege guests and this did not impact our holiday at all. The resort is adults only and we were so surprised at the wide range of ages at the resort and how well the hotel caters for different needs. The hotel has three pools. The first has more activities and music, which consistently had a large crowd and wide age range of guests. The second is a little quieter but used for aqua spinning and volleyball which again included a wide age range of guests. We hung around mostly by the lazy river and bar for the laughter as people floated around the gentle current and passed through man made waterfalls of cold water. Thanks to Carlos for bringing all our drinks with a smile. The variation was great for whatever mood or age. The resort has six restaurants. We heard moans from people about not everything being open every night and the buffet only being available for breakfast and lunch. We didn't find it an issue whatsoever, there is plenty to choose from, including for my wife who is gluten free. At every restaurant we were asked for dietary requirements and she was very well catered for. The hotel is beautifully decorated, our room was clean and well maintained. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a first floor pool view suite upon arrival. Lots of space and a huge comfy bed. "

"Would never return, the food was straight up bad and we were left so confused that that had been a highlight from so many reviews. Super well traveled and honestly just so disappointing. Paid SO much and upgraded to the “inspira” the “butlers” did literally not one thing.. the couldn’t even restock our mini fridge and my mom was left trying to get into the room waiting for help for an hour. This is the first negative review I’ve ever posted… we were just confused it felt like a scam. Everyone was super friendly and the hotel lobby is beautiful. But I would 1000% save money and go elsewhere "
