Islander Resort

"Nice in general, but AC in our room was a bit dicey. (They came to our room 3 times in the night to check it with a ladder).The lady at the front desk said they would issue a refund for the AC problem we had and email me a receipt later that day, but that did not happen, and I had to chase it down. They did not clean up sargasso from beach on the weekend, so we did not really want to walk down to the water on the "beach" when we might have liked to. The employees were overall very nice and the resort is really pretty, and the girl singer in the am Sunday morning was terrific."

"I do not recommend booking through Expedia. The photos are misleading and do not accurately represent the rooms. The room descriptions are vague and fail to show what you are actually getting. Communication with customer service was terrible, and it was very difficult to get clear answers or resolve the issue. Overall, my experience was very disappointing, and I would not book through Expedia again."

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel with our daughters. The room was spacious, had a beautiful ocean view, a great kitchen, and everything was very clean and comfortable. We had a small issue with the air conditioning, but the staff resolved it quickly and were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety, and the location in Islamorada was perfect. We truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely stay again the next time we visit the Keys. Highly recommended!"

"Oceanfront hotel with private beach, cook to order breakfast, and useful complimentary amenities such as kayak and bicycle. We landed during the peak seagrass season so the oceanfront experience is somewhat compromised. Some areas of wall and edging may need maintenance and the AC filter might need to be replaced, With that said, the rest of the hotel experience is as described. Peaceful and private. Room is adequate in size and clean. Clean and comfortable bed and bedding. Staff is helpful."

"The houseboat were a great experience not only for the kid's but the adults also. Seeing the manatees swim around the cove was awesome! It was a great place to meet your neighbors as the porches are very close. The swimming pool is a great addition to the property! If going back to the area, I would definitely go there again! We really enjoyed our visit there!"
