Quiet stay in the woods. Perfect

Clean, neat, comfortable, and staff were friendly. A great change from a chain hotel.

Loved this place and it was a good price. We were close to the Blue Ridge Pkwy in a cabin near the small campground that was wooded and private with a porch. The cabin had great cable tv options and a warm, fireplace insert. Cabins were comfortable and clean (rustic with modern bedroom). The grounds of Springmaid Mountain are beautiful with ponds, mtn. stream and woods. Get good directions before you go as cell service is spotty and our GPS didn't list the road. For a no frills, off the road motel, I wasn’t expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. As the saying goes, never judge a book by it’s cover. To start things off, the staff at the front desk was very nice and made us feel so welcome. He had a table full of a variety of soft drinks and told us to help ourselves. Service was very slow at breakfast in the restaurant, even though there were only two other couples dining.

Great stay. Perfect home base on our weekend ski trip to sugar mountain. Clean, comfortable, and check in / out was as easy as can be. Will stay again. Also the coffee truck was on point.

The room was clean. The staff were friendly. The steak at dinner was awesome. They also had snacks and drinks that you could purchase at reasonable prices in the shop downstairs. Great view.

This resort has a wide variety of amenities in great condition. The rooms are spacious, well designed, and decorated with a fantastic motif! The staff went above and beyond to help us at every turn. There was a great variety of appliances in the kitchen. Beds were comfortable. Tub was ginormous. I could go on and on...

We have been traveling 3 weeks and it ranks #1. It felt homey, had a split floor plan with two bathrooms, but most of all it comes with a washer and dryer and is a great location with parking. Outstanding.

Everything was what we expected.

I was looking for a cheap place to spend the night but this was so much more than I expected. Friendly staff, filling breakfast, comfortable bed. Great experience.

Convenience and cleanliness

We had free hotels.com nights and were disappointed that the boutique hotel in town wouldn't accept them so we booked the hampton inn instead. I am so glad we did. It was so clean, the room and beds were so comfortable, the bathrooms/showers were awesome! We enjoyed a little outdoor patio with a fire pit and some sofas. When we first arrived, I was not wowed by the lobby but our room was wonderful. It was updated and very clean. The cleaning crew went the extra mile. The breakfast was not the best. There was a waffle maker, which is good but that was about it. Coffee in the lobby was hot and fresh even in the evening when we got back to the hotel. Overall, we were very pleased. One thing that was a little strange is that the entrance to the hotel property is through the parking lot of an ice cream place....
