Despite us visiting in the middle of Summer, the flies, ticks, and mosquitos were not a problem when applying bug spray and plenty is available for you to use, along with lots of citronella candles and other mitigations. The only problem was the shower head which kept sliding down the pole and we had trouble figuring out how to get the cold water to work. However, overall we really enjoyed our stay.
