“Breakfast good”

“The location is perfect in Tahoe City, right across the street from The Commons. It was close to great food, drinks and bakery’s. I stayed in room 8, which was on the top floor. The room was spotless, the bedding very comfortable and of high quality. I slept really well and it was very quiet. I appreciated the shampoo, body lotion and conditioner. The thing I DIDNT LIKE was the check in process. I sent them 3 texts asking them how I check in with no response. I later found 4 emails from them……

“Silver Lake is a beautiful location and having cabins to rent on the lake side is pretty special. The cabins are old and rather quirky, but you can over look some inconveniences, like luke warm water, missing chairs for dining, no plugs in the sinks and even a mouse in your room. But when we checked in they charge me for the room even though I had paid for it . I had to find my credit card bill to show I had paid for the room. Once I showed them my credit card statement they refunded the money……

“Location of hotel was right in downtown and perfect. Near shops n restaurants. Loved the energy and vibe. Rms were spacious! And all of the front desk people were super nice and helpful. Will stay again.”

“Our stay at the American River Inn was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and right at home. The historic charm of this beautiful Victorian inn, combined with the peaceful mountain setting, made for a truly relaxing getaway. The rooms were comfortable and full of character, the grounds were beautifully maintained. We especially appreciated the attention to detail and the genuine hospitality of the innkeeper. If you’re looking for a unique, relaxing, and memorable……

“BEWARE! If you are booking through a third party, the fees are NOT the same as what is advertised. And management does not address any issues. Was charged the most that I’ve ever been charged for a pet cleaning fee, and the room had dog hair on the headboard when we checked in. It’s completely outdated, old TVs, no device charging setups. It looks as if the last time they put money into upgrades was over 10 years ago. It is not a good value. KEEP DRIVING!!! There are way better accommodations……

“Great place away from the lake but truly in the mountains. I plan to stay here in the future. ”

“The owners were super friendly to my children. We stayed in the Sterling room which was like a library! My children enjoyed looking through the books. My only comment was we had no choices for breakfast and my kids wouldn't eat the breakfast. More for me though!”
