“I understand monies might be limited to keep a landmark building up to our modern standards. But, lumpy creaky mattress, missing light bulbs, a TV/no channels programmed, a simple box of tissues all lacking even after a request placed. But, all in all a roof over our heads, a good shower facility, a view of the water & Bressay Island, central location for exploring the shops and walking the wonderful town of Lerwick.”

“Mooi gelegen hotel op een voor het maken van uitstapjes handige, centrale locatie. Kamers zijn modern ingericht met goede bedden en mooie badkamer, van alle gemakken voorzien. Het personeel is bijzonder aardig en behulpzaam. Ontbijt en diner zijn goed verzorgd en smakelijk. Voor wie slecht ter been is, kunnen de trappen wel bezwaarlijk zijn.”

“We were on a 3-week tour of Highlands & Islands. Owners Andrea and Paul were stupendous hosts! So kind and helpful! Food, especially dinner, was first class! We learned much about the history and where to visit. Irving, the waiter, was charming. We strongly recommend.”

“A very nice room although I found the bed a bit soft. The staff are extremely nice and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent. I ate in the restaurant twice but recommend eating at some of the restaurants in town.”

“Lovely location overlooking Scalloway. Easy to locate and navigate to. Communications and information were clear. The chalet was will equipped.”

“We have stayed at the Kveldsro for a week plus on two occasions, and really enjoyed ourselves each time. The hotel is not a new building, but as a result is full of character. The rooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms fairly recently updated. The dining room and many of the bedrooms have a wonderful view over the Lerwick harbour. One of the best aspects is that the hotel is only a couple of minutes walk from Commercial Street, and within easy walking distance of most of the many……

“Beautiful views of crofts and the sea. The room was quiet and comfortable. The bed especially comfortable with cotton sheets and cushy duvet. Teas and coffee were available. Breakfast absolutely delicious with the host preparing any level of breakfast need.”

“Bon petit déjeuner. Hôtel en centre ville. Très belle demeure.”

“We had a great stay in Bordanoost. We were a party of five adults and the twin rooms we great. All the facilities were as expected. We especially liked sitting in the little conservatory looking over the bay - what a great view!”
