"Staff was great! But I checked out immediately upon checking in. Due to the fact that the hotel was full of children from a weekend hockey tournament in town, who were being allowed to run amuck in the hotel. Running back and forth, playing hockey in every single hallway, yelling and screaming with parents looking on, parents were congregating in the hallways with chairs and having their own hangouts. Hotel staff was not doing anything to keep order, and hadn’t put anything in place to keep peace for other guests. They did offer, after my complaint to go shut this down, but seeing that I was evidently the only guest not from this group. I knew that would just cause more problems. This hotel should have been shut down to other guests during this time, as it seemed all the rooms were occupied by people from this nearby tournament. We checked out immediately as we had a long drive home the next day and needed a good nights sleep.
Checked into a Hampton Inn that also had families from this tournament, but they had hired security to keep order and maintain peace for every other guest. It was so peaceful. Apparently, this is a yearly tournament that the entire town knows about. Days Inn needs to do better next time, put rules in place and prepare. And DO NOT BOOK TO ANYONE NOT ATTENDING THIS TOURNAMENT. "
